SAFEbuilt to administer trades permits

In November, the State Bureau of Construction Codes granted Galesburg permission to administer its own electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permitting processes. Property owners can expect improved responsiveness now that local officials will be available to issue permits and conduct inspections. SAFEbuilt, the City's code enforcement agent, will administer the zoning and building permitting process.    All forms are on the City website and available from SAFEbuilt.
