The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) manages the development, redevelopment, and continuing improvement of Galesburg's business district, with a primary focus on its economic and physical revitalization. It preserves and enhances the business district through a broad range of projects, with current focus on Fulfilling requirements of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Redevelopment Ready Communities Program.

Helena Hayes has served the Galesburg community since 2015, supporting the business community’s events along the way. Her priority is to work with a variety of community leaders to bring businesses into the City and to provide resources to help them achieve and sustain success.
